I don't know what the big deal is. Appalachia has been terrible and PV hasn't been good for several years. Why would a really bad team and a mediocre team combined make a state championship caliber team? From what I have seen Union just isn't that good.

I have to agree too. Union had high exceptations from the fans but when you combine mid grade and mid grade it dont make jet fuel. IMO most of the people who want Travis fired is the same group of people that were bitching about the consolidation to start with and seeing that fight is over here they are again bitching about something they cant change. Union is NOT, I repeat NOT, going to come out of the gate 10 and 0 and win state. It takes time. It took powell valley 20 plus years to get the right mix of coaching and kids to start winning state games. Give Travis time and he'll prove either way in time
